BNG Spoilers 1-22

~
Happy Wednesday MTG peeps,

We have more Born of the Gods previews out today.  This, the latest Magic: the Gathering set will be hitting local gaming stores Feburary 7th, and with 72 of 165 cards revealed so far, we gotta say we are very much digg'n this new set.  If you have not already, you should plan your pre-orders now with sealed product at your local card shop or have that list of your fav singles ready for your online orders to MTG Mint Card.  Anywhoos, let's go through today's newest cards.

 Plea for Guidance, 5w
Sorcery, Rare
Search your library for up to two enchantment cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

Planetmtg.de (German) preview.  After we sorted out the translation, we went to our happy place - specifically, a place where we had this lovely card in our g/w enchant Commander list.  To late game for standard and that is totally fine for us as we think Idyllic Tutor, a similar card costing three to tutor one enchantment up (likely a god card) would likely have a detrimental effect on standard constructed in a Stoneforge Mystic kind a way.  Simply can't wait to play this on our Thursday night Commander group at OMG! Games here in Barrie.

Oracle of Bones, 2rr
Creature — Minotaur Shaman, Rare
Haste
Tribute 2 (As this creature enters the battlefield, an opponent of your choice may place two +1/+1 counters on it.)
When Oracle of Bones enters the battlefield, if tribute wasn't paid, you may cast an instant or sorcery card from your hand without paying its mana cost.
3/1

Mothersite preview.  We suggest that keep at least one card in your hand when you play this, whether it's a instant / sorcery who cares - bluff that shizzle.  Nice card, it could be a hasty 5/3 or it could (hopefully) bring along a powerful spell for free.

Hunter's Prowess, 4g
Sorcery, Rare
Until end of turn, target creature gets +3/+3 and gains trample and "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, draw that many cards."

Magic Show preview.  Awesome art from Greg Staples.  We want to alt with with a speech bubble that says 'surprise beotch!'.  Whether you get this onto a list as a heroic enabler or onto a hexproof critter, we think this will deliver fun, perhaps not top tier but fun none the less.

Other non-rare cards previewed today on the mothersite include;

Meletis Astronomer - heroic divination and enchantment draw.

• The Nyxborn cycle - Shieldmate (white - previously prviewed), Triton (blue), Eidolon (black), Rollicker (red), and Wolf (green).  All these Enchantment Creatures (Nyxborn) are "infused" with Nyx, the starry night sky. The cards have that new fancy starry card frame.

From Team Mint (Japanese website) - Song of the Silent Siren (translation?) - great 'inspired' mechanic on a creature with evasion that will discard and pwn possible 'scry' by milling the top card.
